We have another cold morning in the 30s across most of the state.

The weekend temperatures will feel nice and fall-like ahead of a bit of a warm-up next week.

Our next chance for rain comes on Sunday and Monday.

What does the weather look like for the rest of this week?

The fire threat will be high across mainly western OK tomorrow and Friday. Friday's temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70's and we'll stay in that range through the weekend.

Highs will be in the 60s for a couple of days. We will slowly warm back into the mid-70s by the weekend.

There will be a chance for a few showers in the west tomorrow, with higher chances in the panhandle.

EMSA HEAT SAFETY TIPS

-HYDRATION is key in preventing heat-related illness. Drink plenty of water or electrolyte replacement drinks several hours before and during long exposure to the summer heat.

Wear light-colored, loose fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat if working outdoors, and take plenty of shade breaks.

No alcohol or caffeine.

If you do not have air conditioning, find a cooling station or public space (such as libraries or malls) during the day.

Don’t limit your use of air conditioning.

Use the buddy system if working outdoors and check on elderly neighbors.

Keep a cellphone on you at all times when outdoors, including walking, running daily errands, yard work or sports and physical activity.
