Happy Friday, Oklahoma! We're experiencing a bit of a warmer day as highs climb into the 70s with a gusty wind from the south and low humidity.
In the Oklahoma City metro, residents are waking up to temps in the 40s and 50s, with the wind chill making it feel cooler.
Friday we will warm into the low to mid 70's with a chance for rain in the panhandle.
Fire danger will be high due to ongoing drought and gusty winds. Please be careful and make sure to check to see if your county is under a burn ban.
The upper-level low to our west will bring rain chances in waves to the panhandle. We may see a few showers at times in our western counties this weekend.
Rain chances go up in Oklahoma City Sunday night into Monday morning.
What does the weather look like for the rest of this week?
Friday's temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70's and we'll stay in that range through the weekend.
The weekend temperatures will feel nice and fall-like ahead of a bit of a warm-up next week.
There will be a chance for a few showers in the west on Saturday, with higher chances in the panhandle.
Our next rainmaker arrives this weekend. The data on rain chances is still a mess.
