After weeks of frigid temperatures, Oklahoma City is finally breaking free from the deep freeze. The forecast ahead? Sunny, warm, and dry. Here's Meteorologist Andrew Adams with the latest.

The record-breaking cold temperatures move out just in time for the weekend!

Oklahoma City is finally thawing out after spending more than 104 hours below freezing! Warmer days are ahead, with 60s arriving Sunday and 70s by Monday, offering a well-earned break from February’s deep freeze.

What is the weather like this weekend?

Highs Saturday rebound into the upper 40s.

Sunday will be amazing with temps in the 60s across the state. We get even warmer from there.

Monday will be in the upper 60s and low 70s! Those temperatures are more like April than late February.

Our next cold front moves in on Wednesday next week. It will be weak and will bring a slight chance for a few showers and storms. The highest chances will be in southeast Oklahoma.

  1. Tuesday at 1 a.m.: OKC dropped below 32°F and stayed there for over four days
  2. Record-breaking cold: Wednesday & Thursday saw record-low highs
  3. Friday’s high: Just 29°F—way below normal
  4. February so far: 7 degrees below average

After a brutally cold stretch, temperatures are finally rebounding:

  2. Sunday: 60°F – Perfect for getting outdoors!

  1. Mid-50s in western OK
  2. Low 40s in the northeast, where snow & ice linger
  3. Overnight lows in the 20s, so still chilly in the mornings
