What is the weather like on Friday?
Friday, southwest crank up gusting over 35 mph, increasing the wildfire threat.
Highs reach into the middle 70s across the state.
As the upper-level low pushes east, our winds will relax this afternoon. Winds will increase again next week.
We do have rain and storm chances, but areas that don't see rain will have high to extreme fire danger next week.
As you make your big weekend plans, we do have rain chances on Sunday.
Saturday looks nice and quiet. Sunday afternoon and evening showers and a few storms take off in the west and will move across the state.
The severe risk Sunday looks minimal, but a few weak storms are possible.
We are still watching Monday night into Tuesday for storms firing on the dryline.
These storms will have more upper-level support and more Gulf moisture to fuel them.
There is a low chance for severe weather in this timeframe, with wind and hail being the main threats.
Extended Forecast
As always, Oklahomans should stay updated on the latest forecasts for any changes in the storm outlook..
Our next cold front moves in on Wednesday next week.
It will be weak and will bring a slight chance for a few showers and storms. The highest chance will be in southeast Oklahoma.
