Pursuit Suspect May Have Stolen Marijuana From Wewoka Dispensary, Police Say

Investigators are searching for a man in southeastern Oklahoma City who may have also stolen marijuana from a dispensary in Wewoka, police said.

OCPD said they had attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 40 near South Hiwassee Road when the driver fled the scene, and ran into a nearby forested area.

After the driver fled, OCPD said they found multiple trash bags full of marijuana freshly cut from the stalk.

"It looks like the van is loaded with freshly-cut marijuana " OCPD Lt. Frank Herrera said. "We've been able to do some investigating from some of the stuff that's in the van, and it looks like it could possibly be involved in a burglary."

Investigators said there is no suspect information at this time, although they are still searching for them.

Where Did The Marijuana Come From?

OCPD said there was a burglary at a dispensary in Wewoka, and that this marijuana may have come from that dispensary.
