Three people are in custody after a pursuit that led Oklahoma City Police across the southwestern part of the city Thursday morning.
The department said this started developing just before 12 a.m. Wednesday near Southwest 29th Street and South May Avenue.
Police said they attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but a male suspect, Logan Hathaway, 34, was not cooperating with the officer on scene and ran away.
That officer shortly made contact with the suspect and took him the ground, police said, and the suspect pulled out his hand gun, which went off once. No one was injured.
"Nobody was hit, that individual was taken into custody," the department said.
While the officer and suspect were struggling over control of the firearm, the female passenger, Robin Palma, 57, moved over to the driver's seat before driving away.
"During this time a female passenger and a male passenger were in the vehicle. The female passenger got into the drivers seat and took off, and were located just two miles west of here," police said.
Another passenger, Alfonso Rodriguez, 46, was taken into custody after he attempted to flee the scene on foot while the struggle with the driver was occurring, according to police.
All three people inside of the vehicle were taken into custody, police said.
