If you like to invent, experiment and have fun, Science Museum Oklahoma has an event that you're going to want to be a part of.
Applications are now open for makers, artists, scientists and hobbyists to share their skills at Science Museum Oklahoma’s 2023 Tinkerfest!
Those applying should offer a hands-on hobby, project, skill or trade that can be shared with attendees.
Tinkerers are responsible for providing their own supplies for their interactive activity.
It can be anything from disassembling cars, candle making, comic book creation and podcast production to foil sculpting, loom knitting and robotics.
Chris Syfrett, the Tinkering Initiatives Manager at the museum says, "Tinkering can really encompass anything under the sun, because tinkering is a way that we learn." he says, "If there's a way that we get hands on and try stuff out to see what happens when we try it, that's tinkering"
Applications for tinkerers are due by September 9th, you can apply online by clicking here.
They're also looking for volunteers to help put on the event, you can apply for that by clicking here.
For those who just want to attend and enjoy, the event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 30
Admission to the museum and all Tinkerfest activities are free.
