Funeral Services For Fallen Cleveland County Deputy Held At Crossroads Church

Funeral services for Cleveland County Deputy Jordan Pyle were held Thursday afternoon at Crossroads Church.

The ceremony began at 2 p.m. at the church near Southeast 89th Street and South Shields Boulevard.

Court documents said Vaughn Cannon, Jordan’s husband and also a former deputy with the sheriff’s office, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to her death.

The Cleveland County community gathered last week to honor Jordan’s life at the Cleveland County Courthouse.

“Thank you for coming to honor Jordan,” said Sheriff Chris Amason, to a crowd outside the courthouse. “Jordan was a beautiful, beautiful human being.”  

“Every time you saw her, she had a kind word and big old smile,” Amason said. “She truly loved kids and serving the community.”
