The Logan County Sheriff's Office said Geronimo Quilimaco was shot and killed on Tuesday. His nephew, Christopher Ford said he's losing two people; his uncle is gone, and his son is behind bars.

The shooting happened near 2 Creeks Road and Midwest Boulevard. Ford said the victim and suspect were related.

“I was like, ‘who do they have in custody?’ Then they were like ‘Jordan,’ and that's my son,” Ford said.

Ford said his family means the world to him.

“They loved each other. I guess it was just the alcohol. Alcohol is a dangerous drug and stuff can happen in just an instant,” Ford said.

He said it breaks his heart knowing his son Jordan Harvey is facing a first-degree murder complaint.

“I don't know how to feel towards him right now,” Ford said.

He said his son killed his best friend.

“Pretty much when you see me you see him, or you see him you see me. He was like my big brother. He always had a high lifting spirit,” Ford said.

He said these last couple of days have been difficult. He's trying to stay strong for his family and wrap his head around everything that happened.

“It hurts and I'm angry. I haven't been out of bed in two days. I just don't understand,” Ford said.

The family said they could really use help with funeral expenses. If you would like to donate you can click here.
