The Oklahoma Broadband Office received nearly $168 million to expand high-speed internet in the state.
The funding is comes from the American Rescue Plan's Capital Projects Fund.
The state office said this will help expand broadband in rural and remote places that were originally too expensive.
Current data shows more than 728,000 Oklahomans do not have access to reliable high-speed internet, with most of those living in rural areas.
