Local Elections Results Are In; Some Too Close To Call

These are unofficial results from the state election board.

Multiple Oklahoma counties held elections on Tuesday, discussing bonds, elected seats, and taxes.

(Some bond votes must reach 60% to pass.)

The issues on the ballot:

The Canadian Valley Tech Center: Did not pass at 50.5%

The Canadian Valley Tech Center asked voters in multiple counties to approve $75M for building, remodeling and improving school sites.

Chisolm Public Schools: Two bonds passed at 71.7% and 71.3%

Chisolm voters were asked to approve 2 bonds: $3,175,000 for school building and improvements, and $250K for transportation needs.

Cleveland County 2 Commissioner Seat: McHughes won with 71.3% of the votes

Jacob McHughes beat Clint Rapp in the race for the Cleveland County 2 Commissioner Seat.

Crooked Oak Public Schools: The bond passed at 81.1%

Voters in Oklahoma County were asked to approve $26,150,000 In bonds to build and improve school buildings.

Gage Board of Trustees: Morrissette won with 69.1% of the votes

Richard Dee Morrissette won against Jodi Jones in a race for a seat on the Gage Board of Trustees.

Lamont 5% Sales Tax: Passed with 58.6% of yes votes

Voters passed a 5% sales tax.

Luther Public Schools: Did not pass at 58.6%

Luther Public Schools asked voters to approve $43,210,000 for building and equipping schools.

Maysville Schools: Passed at 91.2%

In Garvin County, Maysville voters were asked to approve a $305K bond for building or maintaining schools.

McLoud Public Schools: 2 bonds did not pass at 55.7% and 52.9%

McLoud Public Schools asked voters to approve 2 bonds. An $18,475,000 to build and maintain schools buildings and a $1.1M bond for transportation needs.

Midwest City: Passed at 60.1%

Voters voted on a capitol improvement tax. This measure details how the money would be spent.

Minco Mayor: Hollandsworth won with 53% of the votes

Susan Hollandsworth beat Dena Sanford in the race for Minco Mayor.

Navajo Public Schools: Passed at 72.3%

The bond proposal asked voters to renovate and remodel the agriculture building, and will not affect taxes.

New Lima Public Schools: Passed at 86.4%

Seminole County voters were asked to approve a $380K bond for transportation.

Norman, Oklahoma Natural Gas Franchise: Passed at 50.2%

Norman voters were asked to vote on keeping the franchise agreement between ONG and Norman.

Okarche Trustee Board: Passed at 85.8%

Okarche voters were asked to choose whether or not to expand the Okarche Trustee Board.

Paul's Valley Councilmember Place 3: Rushing won with 53.3% of the votes

Jocelyn Rushing beat out Matthew Huggins in the race for Paul's Valley Councilmember place 3.

Weatherford Ward 1 Commissioner: Wood won with 63.4% of the votes.

Kendon Wood beat Terri Lockhart and Madella Shelton for the Weatherford Ward 1 Commissioner seat.

Weatherford Ward 3 Commissioner: Goldmann won with 63.8% of the votes.

Warren Goldmann won against Chad martin and Rebecca Carman for the Weatherford Ward 3 Commissioner seat.
