Another hit for an embattled former Oklahoma City police officer who is suing his former boss.

Luis Maldonado is in jail tonight after being found guilty of contempt of court.

This isn't the first time Maldonado finds himself behind bars.

Maldonado served 3 years for previous accusations brought against him, including charges of domestic and sexual abuse.

And it's those cases that led to him filing his own lawsuit.

Maldonado worked for OCPD for 4 years.

He was fired when charged with domestic and sexual abuse.

A jury acquitted him of those charges in 2021, but 2 weeks later another woman brought similar accusations against him.

However that case was dropped before it went to trial.

Last month Maldonado filed a lawsuit naming the former Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater, the Oklahoma City Chief of Police, investigators and accusers.

The compensation he's seeking...27 million dollars.

This week, the Oklahoma City City council voted to approve legal counsel for Chief Wade Gourley.

Meanwhile Maldonado continues to represent himself.
