Shawnee Pursuit Ends In Multi-Vehicle Crash, Police Say

A pursuit through Shawnee ended in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon north of the city, police said.

Shawnee Police said a female driver that led officers on the pursuit today was a passenger in a motorcycle chase Monday night.

The chase Monday night began after police responded to a call for suspicious activity, although Shawnee Police lost sight of the motorcycle, the department said.

On Tuesday, the female driver was fleeing from authorities again with another female in the vehicle when they struck a second vehicle, injuring that vehicle's driver.

Shawnee Police said the female driver had felony warrants out of Seminole and Pottawatomie Counties, which is what sparked Tuesday’s pursuit.

Investigators are not releasing the female driver's name at this time.
