Grady County SWAT Team Arrests Man Following Standoff

The Grady County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team was called into action on Saturday after a man had barricaded himself in an apartment building and fired shots at Chickasha police officers.

Once the SWAT Team arrived at the scene of the incident, they attempted to peacefully subdue the suspect and convince him to surrender himself.

Once the suspect refused to obey the commands of the SWAT Team, they launched tear gas into the apartment in which the suspect was barricaded in.

The suspect continued to refuse to leave the apartment even after the tear gas was used, and the SWAT Team entered the building and successfully took the suspect into custody.

The suspect, Travis Rose, was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Chickasha Police Department.

Rose was charged with resisting arrest, unlawfully discharging a firearm, and threatening to perform an act of violence.
