An Oklahoma man with connections to an Ohio couple murdered in 2021, was arrested in Texas, months after he was reported missing.
According to authorities, Andrew Griffin, 31, is now in an Oklahoma jail.
In July the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office began circulating a missing persons poster for Griffin. At the time, investigators said Griffin was last seen leaving a family member's home in Shawnee, June 29. Headed to a job in Odessa, Texas, investigators said Griffin was driving a company work truck and never arrived to work.
Four months later, Oct. 8, investigators located Griffin at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport. According to Houston Police, Griffin was arrested as he de-boarded an airplane as it arrived from Honduras.
1400 miles away, an Ohio News station broadcast news of Griffin's disappearance and arrest.
In 2021 the CBS affiliate reported Griffin's business partners Tom and Angela Strussion were murdered and their home set on fire. The couple owned two restaurants. "We have classified the deceased, Tom and Angela, on Trails End Drive as a double homicide, said Sheriff David Lucus, Belmont County Sheriff's Office.
Despite multiple offers of a cash reward, and calls from the FBI for information, and the use of cutting edge DNA retrieval technology, the Strussion murders remain unsolved.
"We're hoping to we narrow their suspect pool to one" said Sheryl McCollum, found of the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute.
Griffin has never been named as a suspect in his partners' murders.
He remains jailed in Leflore County, where he's charged with kidnapping and domestic violence. Griffin is also facing charges in Oklahoma County.
