Governor Kevin Stitt and Texas Governor Greg Abbott are in Israel this morning.
The two went to show their solidarity and discuss further partnerships with Israel.
They met with Israel's prime minister and were able to pray with survivors of the deadly Hamas attack.
We reached out to Gov. Stitt's office for more information. Abegail Cave, communications director for Gov. Stitt, confirmed the trip.
"Governor Stitt and Governor Abbott traveled to Israel in a show of solidarity to our allies as well as an opportunity to discuss future partnerships between Israel and our states as they rebuild. The governors will meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Herzog and Foreign Minister Cohen and will have the opportunity to pray with survivors of the attacks by Hamas terrorists,” Cave said.
The Governors are visiting Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center - Ichilov to visit with victims and impacted families later today.
