Federal Charges Filed Against Suspects Accused Of Killing Woman, Leaving Body In Wichita Mountains

A man has been charged with murder after a Native American woman was found dead last week at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, according to Lawton, Okla. TV station KSWO.

Federal charges have been filed against two suspects after a Comanche Nation woman's body was found at the Wichita Mountains Refuge in May.

The victim, who has so far not been identified, was found on May 17, and her home was searched on May 19, according to the report.

The report also stated that there was evidence of a violent struggle and blood inside of her home, and her car was missing.

On May 21, the car was seen driving in Dallas, Texas, when authorities attempted to conduct a traffic stop before the vehicle drove off.

Investigators said Tevin Semien and Makayla Logsdon were arrested after the chase.

Court documents revealed that when Semien was questioned, he admitted to being responsible for killing the victim by hitting her with a brick, the report said.

Court documents also stated that Semien had allegedly told authorities that Logsdon was related to the victim and asked him to kill her.

Semien was booked into the Navarro County Jail.

According to court documents, both suspects have plead not guilty.
