1 Injured In Police Involved Shooting Overnight, OSBI Investigating

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Cleveland.

Officers with the Cleveland Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle at Highway 64 and Airport Road, which turned into a short pursuit, according to Cleveland Police.

According to reports, the driver eventually pulled over, exited the vehicle armed with a shotgun, and pointed it at an officer.

According to OBSI, the officer shot the suspect, who was transported to a Tulsa area hospital, and the police officers involved were unharmed. 

OSBI said this is an ongoing investigation; the names of the suspects and the officers involved are not being released at this time. Officers involved have been placed on administrative leave until the conclusion of the investigation.
