Goodwill Industries Of Tulsa Brings Fresh Approach To Job Search

Goodwill Industries of Tulsa is changing the way it helps people find jobs through its new Career Center.

The Career Center replaced Goodwill's Job Connection program, which focused more on connecting people with potential employers.

This new Career Center provides more long-term guidance.

Those at Goodwill said this Career Center also takes a look at where someone is from a personal standpoint, like if someone is facing issues of food insecurity or mental health issues.

Steve Hahn is the Career Center Manager and said this center will not only help people find jobs, but also help people advance in their chosen careers.

"We want to know more about the things they want to do in their future. And we help them whether it’s educational advancement, whether it’s certification, etcetera. And we want to be here as a coach for them for the long-haul till they get to that career they want," Hahn explained.

Goodwill Career Center said its services are open to anyone looking for a better job or career no matter your educational, professional, or personal background.
