The Outsiders House Museum had a special visitor from Hollywood over the weekend.
Actress Angelina Jolie stopped by the museum with her daughter, Vivienne.
The actress is a producer on the upcoming Broadway musical based on The Outsiders book.
"It was really cool to see them here, and for them to see Tulsa, and to get to experience all of these locations together as a group," said Danny Boy O'Connor with The Outsiders House Museum.
O'Connor says Jolie was visiting with her daughter as well as the cast and crew of the musical.
"It's pretty cool to see how invested Angelina Jolie is and her daughter in this thing because it's more than a financial deal for them that they came all the way here to Tulsa to really get to see it first-hand," he said.
The musical has been showing in La Jolla, California, but is about to make its Broadway debut.
O'Connor has seen the show and says it was mind-blowing to see the story transformed into a musical.
He said when he watched the show, he was sitting next to the book's author, S.E. Hinton.
"That's really what matters most to me. Everybody there loved it, and to see the smile and joy on her face, 55 years after she wrote the book, to think this was going to be turned into a musical has got to be mind-blowing for her as well," he said.
He's excited about the attention the musical will bring to the story he loves so much and can't wait for the new fans to start visiting the Outsiders house.
"I expect anytime soon kids coming from all over the world to say, is this the house from the musical that I saw," he said.
The musical is expected to begin previews on Broadway on March 16th.
