An upcoming commercial airing during the Super Bowl Sunday is going viral on social media for its depiction of the Taylor Swift effect on dads and daughters around the country.
Cetaphil, a skincare company, posted it on YouTube on Friday with the following caption:
Dads and daughters everywhere have gotten closer because of a certain globe-trotting eras singer screaming from the football sidelines, and we’re here for it. 😉 So this season, we’re inviting dads and daughters to get closer to each other’s worlds – daughters sharing their love for skincare and dads sharing their love for the game. Get your #GameTimeGlow on together.
The commercial shows the usual father-daughter relationship during football season. The dad is excited about the game and the daughter is uninterested.
Then it shows the daughter slowly showing interest. The dad buys her a jersey and jokingly applies her lotion to his face like a football player would face paint, under his eyes on his cheek.
She puts the jersey on, smiles, looks in the mirror and goes downstairs from her room to watch the game with her dad.
It shows both wearing homemade bracelets, which is likely a reference to how Travis gave Taylor his number.
