Man Arrested, Accused Of Assaulting Woman In Tulsa Park

Tulsa Police arrested a man accused of beating and choking the mother of his child.

Tulsa County deputies said witnesses called 911 after they saw Derrick Harris assault a woman at Chandler Park on Thursday.

When witnesses confronted Harris, they said he pointed a gun at them and forced the victim into his car and drove off with the victim and their 9-year-old son in the car.

Deputies said the victim escaped and Tulsa Police located Harris, arrested him and got the child to safety.
