This trial grabbed the attention of people around the world and caused a divide over race and policing.

News 9's Tevis Hillis shares how one Oklahoman had ties to the trial.

Irven Box, an Oklahoma attorney, was just one of six who had their names drawn and was able to sit inside the LA courtroom as Simpson’s legal team fought for his innocence.

Box says he knew O.J. was guilty, while he sat in the courtroom every day.

He was also able to speak with him after the trial.

"Maybe there were some differences of personalities as far as opinion they evidently were as close as any jury I've ever seen in the history of my practice," said Box.

O.J. was later found liable for the deaths in a separate civil case and then served nine years in prison on unrelated charges.
