Oklahoma City Man Arrested Following Infant Death

One man was arrested after a deceased infant showed signs of abuse at an apartment complex in Oklahoma City, police say.

On Tuesday, March 5, Oklahoma City Police said they were responding to a call of an infant not breathing at an apartment near Northwest 50th Street and North May Avenue.

The child, a 4-month-old was declared deceased shortly after arriving to the hospital.

During the investigation, OCPD said detectives learned the child suffered injuries consistent with child abuse.

An arrest warrant was issued for 36-year-old Duwuan Betancourt, who was later taken into custody on a murder complaint.
