One person was arrested, after an officer-involved shooting in southeast Oklahoma City Friday night, according to Oklahoma City police.
Police say that officers responded to reports of a man waving a gun near Southeast 54th Street. When officers arrived, police say that officers got into a 'position of cover' and called the man out of the residence.
Later identified as Juan Castorenna-Guerrero, the suspect exited the residence with a gun, police said. Police also said that when asked to drop the gun, he did not. Police said that an officer ' deployed a 40mm less lethal round toward him', but Castorenna-Guerrero then raised his firearm and pointed it at the officers.
Six officers discharged their firearms towards the suspect, according to police.
Police say that Castorenna-Guerrero was not struck by the officers' gunfire, and was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on four counts of pointing a firearm.
The six involved officers have been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, police said.
