Oklahoma City Thunder To Face New Orleans Pelicans In Round 1 Of NBA Playoffs

The wait is over, the OKC Thunder has an opponent set for the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

The New Orleans Pelicans advanced to the first round against the Thunder after defeating the Sacramento Kings 105-98 in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Friday.

Game 1 is at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

The Thunder will face off against the eighth seed, but two teams are fighting for the position.

The options are down to either the Pelicans or the Kings.

The New Orleans Pelicans are currently down a player. Zion Williamson suffered an injury to his left hamstring during Tuesday night’s game against the Lakers. He will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks.

Oklahoma City went 2-1 against the Pelicans in the regular season and 2-2 against the Kings.

It'll be tough for the Pelicans to win without Zion but they did go 7-5 without him in games the regular season.

The 8-seed will be decided on Friday night at 8:30.
