Downtown OKC Preparing For Large Crowds

Downtown Oklahoma City is preparing for visitors from around the country and even the world.  

The Memorial Marathon playoffs, River sport Olympic trials and other events this week will all overlap in some way, bringing a surge of business to the metro.  

The downtown partnership will have fully staffed green team crews keeping the area safe and clean.  

"It's indescribable, the amount of influx we will see not just in foot traffic and pedestrian traffic and just travel in general, but just again of the love for Oklahoma City," Jennifer Nakyama with Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership.

Green team crews are also cross trained in hospitality and can give directions or recommendations for people unfamiliar with downtown.
