OSU Women's Tennis Discuss Big 12 Championship Win, Upcoming NCAA Tournament

The News 9 Southwest Beverages Coca-Cola Porch visited the Big 12 Champions, Oklahoma State University’s women's tennis team.

Coach Chris Young met with Jordan Ryan about the team.

“We have such a great group. We have a lot of depth,” Young said. “Everybody is a strong player and there's nobody that's an easy victory for the opponent and it's been able to just pull our team together.”

Kristina Novak, named MVP this past weekend, has worked hard for her title.

“I'm just excited to keep doing what we've been doing, to show the people all the hard work that we've been putting in, and to win some more matches,” Novak said.

Oklahoma State University will be hosting the NCAA Team and Individual Tournament from May 16 through May 26.

“It's a big deal for Oklahoma State just to be able to host the NCAA National Championships,” Young said. “So the entire college tennis world is going to be spotlighted here in Stillwater.”
