A homeowner in Newcastle is recovering after a tornado ripped off the roof of his home Saturday evening.
As storms tore across the state over the weekend, tornadoes came very close to the Riverwind Casino on Highway 9, instead striking a neighborhood in the area.

Homeowner Patrick Stewart says it took his family two years to build their dream home, but only seconds for it to be taken away.
Stewart himself was in the attic checking a water leak only moments before the storm tore a part his home.
"As I walked downstairs she [Stewart's wife] said 'it's here, we're going to the shelter,;" Stewart said. "About the time we got to the shelter it hit. My wife actually felt her hair raise on the back of her neck... seemed like it was over as fast as it started."
Stewart's home wasn't the only home that was damaged, and now, many of his neighbors are forced to rebuild.
