Putnam City North High School Students Join The Porch To Discuss DECA Delights

Putnam City North High School’s DECA program joined News 9 for the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch.

DECA prepares students to become leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

“DECA is an association of marketing students and what it does is get students ready for the workforce, whether you're going to college or if you don't, you should be able to walk out of the doors and be able to have the skills you need,”  Teacher and DECA Advisor Marie Page said.

DECA President Kayleigh Medlock sells DECA Delights to students at PC North.

“DECA Delights is a store based enterprise and it's in our school and we sell a bunch of different things during the week,” Medlock said. “It has taught me how to communicate well, better with my bosses and my peers around me.”
