A family in Kentucky family says they have been shocked by the amount of support they've received from the Oklahoma City Thunder as one of their children faces health complications.

Dylan Huntzinger, who hosts the Topic Thunder podcast discussing the team, recently shared his 3-year-old son's health struggles.

Huntzinger's son Nova was paralyzed from the waist down due to birth complications, suffered a collapsed lung and was most recently diagnosed with rhinovirus.

"As always he is smiling through it all and keeps a great attitude through all the crap that he's gone through," Huntzinger said.

Shortly after opening up on social media, Huntzinger said he received surprising donations from Thunder stars Josh Giddey, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Thunder assistant coach Dave Bliss.

Huntzinger said he is grateful and is asking for prayers for his son.

"Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also donated," Huntzinger said. "I have been kind of critical of Giddey this season so I thought it might be a troll at first, but it was too big of a donation for it to be a troll or a joke."

Huntzinger said they are asking for Thunder fans' prayers, and are hoping Nova will be released from the hospital soon.

"I am super appreciative of anybody that is willing to donate as we go through this," Huntzinger said.
