Many metro residents shared that they were experiencing internet issues through AT&T Friday morning and afternoon.

When looking at outage maps, reports of outages in the Oklahoma City area spiked from almost none to around 2,000.

Some AT&T users stated that they experienced issues with their internet, making working from home impossible.

AT&T customers say they experienced wait times of over seven hours, and many got automated responses saying that they should be back online by 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

An AT&T spokesperson responded Friday evening with this statement:

"Some of our customers may have experienced internet and internet-based home phone service disruptions briefly today. Service has been restored in the affected areas."
