Oklahoma City Police Announce Passing Of Sergeant

The Oklahoma City Police Department announced the passing of an officer Monday morning.

Sgt. Michael Neely died unexpectedly over the weekend while off-duty, according to the OCPD.

Neely served Oklahoma City for over 16 years, the OCPD says, and was Officer of the Year in 2019.

"Sgt. Neely's dedication and compassion have left a lasting impact on all who knew him," the Oklahoma City Police Department said in their announcement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched."
