Heavy Rain Floods Metro Roads, Authorities Rescue Drivers

Drivers are experiencing high water and flooding Tuesday night as heavy rain falls, and authorities are rescuing stranded drivers.

There were reports of flooding near Interstate 35 and 19th Street, but have since been opened.

Moore Police Department shared that units were blocking off streets near Southeast 34th Street and Sunnylane.

Moore PD stated one person was rescued at 19th Street.

Southwest 89th and Western Avenue also is experiencing flooding.

Remember: Turn around, don't drown. Avoid these areas if possible.
