An Oklahoma City man returned home to find out someone set his truck on fire.
It was all caught on video. However, a month has passed, and he still has few answers.
Trey Trammel lives life in the fast lane. Trucks and motorcycles are his passion. “I just live life to the fullest,” Trammel said.
One of his pride and joys took the brunt of an impact without a key in the ignition. "I can’t think of who would do this,” Trammel said.
On May 17, Trammel and his wife Shannon returned from his father’s funeral in Texas, and they discovered evidence of damage on one of his trucks.
“This piece of trim; it melted it a little bit,” said Trammel, pointing to heat damage on the side of his truck. “I thought my truck got hit by lightning.”
The security cameras outside of their home caught someone pouring gas onto Trammel’s truck and lighting it on fire.
“That’s pretty extreme,” he said. “I wanna know why and I wanna know who.”
The damage was limited but the mental toll was extensive.
“I got lucky on that,” Trammel said. “I just feel violated.”
However, Trammel is glad the target wasn’t his late father’s truck.
“I’m glad we were in that. that didn’t get burnt,” Trammel said. “That would have been a little much there. I just feel real vulnerable and I don’t like feeling like that.”
He hopes the police can answer their countless questions, so, his family can shift their focus on the road ahead.
“I love life and I'm thankful for every day,” Trammel said.
Trammel agreed to talk with News 9 hoping someone else could identify the person. So far police haven't named any suspects. Police said the suspect in the video drove what appeared to be a 2002 White Kia Spectra. Anyone with information can contact the Oklahoma City police.
