OU Football Player Arrested Wednesday Morning

Police at the University of Oklahoma arrested defensive back Makari Vickers, although it's unclear why.

News 9 discovered that Vickers was taken in just before 3 a.m. Wednesday morning and bonded out around 9:30 a.m.

OU athletics department spokesperson responded to requests for a statement late Wednesday night saying, "We are aware of the matter and it is being addressed internally."
