Sassy Dames Craft Show Gives A Craft Lesson On The Porch Ahead Of Expo On Friday

A local craft show is coming to Shawnee, offering plenty of shopping for everything from accessories to home decor.

The Sassy Dames Craft Show will be in town from June 21 to 22 at the Shawnee Expo Conference Center.

Susan Terry and Melissa Bonsall from the Sassy Dames Craft Show joined News 9 on the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to discuss what visitors can expect.

Terry, one of the founders, said they started the expo because there weren't craft shows on a regular basis in the area.

She said they have a wide variety of merchandise and crafts from over 90 vendors as well as food trucks.

"We do it four times a year. It's handcrafted, anything from hats to fudge to purses, crochet. You name it. We have it," Terry said.

Bonsall showed News 9 an example of a craft using Mod Podge that you may see at the show.
