2 Dead After Crash In SW OKC

Two people have died after a crash Tuesday morning in Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a vehicle was traveling south on Interstate 44 near Southwest 15th Street when they departed the roadway for an unknown reason, striking a light pole.

According to OHP, the driver died in the crash, and the passenger inside the vehicle was pinned by the wreckage.

OHP said a witness who was nearby helped pull the passenger from the vehicle, but according to OHP that passenger began to leave the scene when they were struck by another vehicle.

OHP said that the passenger had died, and the other vehicle had fled the scene.

OHP said the driver was a 22-year-old male and the passenger was a 25-year-old female.
