An OSU wrestler popped the question to his now-fiancé over the weekend in an unconventional place.

Their five-year love story led to their now-viral proposal in the Braum's parking lot.

“I had no idea, or I would’ve been a little more put together honestly,” Brooklyn Rackley, the bride-to-be, said. “I was like we have been to Braum’s a million times I know the ice cream you want to get off the top of my head why are we going in?"

“You know, she’s giving me heck about getting out, and I was like please just get out of the truck,” Dustin Plott, the groom-to-be added.

When Brooklyn finally got out of the truck, Dustin got down on one knee.

“I was like we’re going to be short and to the point and hopefully she says yes and we’re getting ice cream, and it doesn’t go like it did last time,” he said.

You heard him right… It didn't go so well the last time he popped a question in the Braum's parking lot, when he asked Brooklyn to be his girlfriend.

“That’s kind of where she said no to me five years ago,” Plott said. “We went inside got our ice cream were sitting in the truck listening to music, enjoying it. And I was kind of like, so what are we, do you want to date? And she’s like yeah, I think it’s a little too early for that.”

But five years later, Dustin was right on time.

“He was like I know you said no to me last time, but I hope you say yes to me this time," Rackley said.

Newly engaged, the high school sweethearts say they couldn't be happier.

“We’re just super grateful to have met each other and that God allowed this to happen. We look forward to hopefully having a long future together,” Plott said.

The couple hasn’t set a wedding date yet but are looking forward to a spring wedding.
