1 Arrested After Police Pursuit Ends In NE Oklahoma City

A driver was taken into custody after a brief pursuit Thursday morning in Oklahoma City, police say.

OKLAHOMA CITY -

One person was arrested after a chase Thursday morning in northeastern Oklahoma City, police say.

Oklahoma City Police said an officer attempted to pull over a driver for a traffic violation at around 5:40 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 40 near the Interstate 35 interchange, when the driver began to attempt to flee.

OCPD said the pursuing officer was able to end the pursuit by initiating a tactical maneuver on the fleeing vehicle along I-35 near Northeast 10th Street.

The driver was taken into custody, although their name has not been released.
