An 8-year-old girl from Norman got the thrill of a lifetime when she was randomly selected to meet Taylor Swift at her Eras Tour show in Scotland.

It's all part of a tradition Taylor Swift started where each night a fan is pulled from the audience to receive the signature black hat while Taylor performs the song “22." It's a sweet moment she's shared with 106 of her biggest fans and now 8-year-old Natalie Streight is one of them.

“She is a massive Taylor Swift fan,” Natalie’s mom, Lara Streight said.

Natalie got the chance to see Taylor Swift live on a recent family vacation to Scotland.

“We noticed that the three days we were going to be in Edinburgh happened to be the same three days that Taylor Swift was playing there so we just felt like it was fate,” Streight said.

She says Natalie was dancing the night away with her brother and sister and had no idea what was in store.

“The lady came up to us and just said can you come with me and was very serious,” Streight said.

“Me and my mom both thought that we were in trouble, and we were going to get kicked out,” Natalie said.

Suddenly, Natalie and her mom were being led onto the floor of the concert venue.

“Then we started walking towards the stage and it started to click,” Streight said.

Little did Natalie know, her Swiftie dreams were about to come true.

“She’s always said she was going to meet Taylor someday and we of course just let her believe it and just laughed it off, but it turned out to be true,” Streight said.

As Natalie sang along, her idol knelt down in front of her and gave her a hug.

“Then she gave me the hat and said I have something for you. Then she put it on my head and she then she gave me a high five,” Natalie said.

“And to see how happy it made her it was really a once in a lifetime thing,” Streight said.

Natalie came home with one heck of a souvenir and a whole new meaning for when she hears the song “22”.

The family says they plan to find a way to display the hat so Natalie can enjoy it for years to come.
