Structures Across NW Oklahoma City Damaged By Heavy Winds, Tens Of Thousands Without Power

After a night of severe storms, several locations across the Oklahoma City metro have been damaged by heavy winds.

After severe storms brought damaging winds to parts of Oklahoma, several structures across the Oklahoma City metro received significant damage.

As of 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, 83,753 Oklahomans are still reporting power outages. The majority, estimated to be around 56,030 people, are OG&E customers. 17,732 are PSO customers, and the remaining 9,991 are OAEC customers.

Near Britton Road and Broadway Extension, a business in the area faced substantial damage to the building's sides and roof.

About a mile north along the Broadway Extension near Hefner Road, the roofs of several businesses show visible damage, with parts of some buildings having been ripped open by severe storms.
