A 6-year-old boy died at Lake Texoma after a tragic accident during a severe thunderstorm, according to authorities.

Firefighters say the boy was in a boat that capsized with 8 people on board.

Authorities say everyone wore life jackets, but the boy became tangled in ropes under the boat when it capsized.

He was recovered from the water and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
