Pet Of The Week: Walter

This week's pet of the Week is Walter.

Walter is a 6-month-old puppy, and he is very eager to play with his people and follow them wherever they may go.

"Anyone that loves to go, you know, on runs or hikes every now and then or take him to the dog park. He truly is just happy to be wherever he is," Destiny from the Oklahoma Humane Society said.

His playful nature and happy attitude make him a perfect match for an active family to adopt.

Destiny also spoke about the Statewide Initiative and how it's helping pet owners keep their pets safe.

"They work with routinely like five other small communities that are needing to lower their spay and neuter numbers for community cats, stray dogs, or anything like that," Destiny said "But they also do and handle wellness visits, so that includes microchipping vaccinations and everything that includes taking care of your pet."
