A 42-year-old man is in custody facing a first-degree murder charge following a suspicious death investigation in Major County, authorities say.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Floyd Dean Cox was arrested in Enid and booked into the Garfield County Jail after an interview with OSBI agents on June 27.

Authorities say on June 7, Major County deputies responded to a home in Ringwood where Tyler Sladek, 31, was found dead inside.

The Medical Examiner determined Sladek had wounds consistent with homicide. The Major County Sheriff's Office called the OSBI to assist in the investigation.

No other details on the death have been released.
