A southeast Oklahoma City family is grieving the loss of 17-year-old Alfredo Sanchez, who was killed in an apparent accidental shooting while at work on June 28.

His mother, Ana Lilia Sanchez, is now planning a funeral for a son she was not prepared to bury.

"He was such a good person, such a marvelous son," Ana Lilia said. "A charismatic son, with many goals to achieve."

Alfredo leaves behind a large family, including his infant son and a girlfriend he planned to marry.

Police have not made any arrests in the shooting, and as of Monday investigators were still conducting interviews.

"If anyone knows anything about my son's accident, say something," said Ana Lilia. "Open your hearts and say something to get justice. Please, feel my pain."

The family began a GoFundMe to raise money for funeral expenses.

"Many thanks for everyone's support," Ana Lilia said. "Many thanks for your donations, many thanks for being in this moment with us."

Alfredo will be taken from the funeral home to the cemetery in his favorite red truck.
