Two separate Wednesday homicides have Oklahoma City Police asking for the public's help.

Two men are dead and the investigations are still underway.

According to police, the first deadly shooting happened at an Oklahoma City Motel near Southwest 34th Street and Interstate 35.

Police reports say 34-year-old Isai Vera was rushed to the hospital as a 16-year-old woman ran from the scene around 5:45 Wednesday evening.

“Investigators have learned that there was a female there with a victim at the time of the shooting,” Sgt. Dillon Quirk with the Oklahoma City Police said. “We have since identified who that female is she has been arrested on a complaint of felony murder.”

Jenabel Acevedo was booked into the Oklahoma County Juvenal Detention Center on felony murder complaints. Investigators are still working to piece together who may have been with the 16-year-old at the time of the shooting.

“I don’t know how many people were involved in total. I don’t know how many more are outstanding,” Quirk said.

Later on Wednesday night, police say shots rang out in a separate shooting near Wilshire Boulevard and the Northwest Expressway.

“The victim and suspect were arguing when the gunfire went off,” Quirk said.

The victim, who has not yet been identified by police, ran from the scene looking for an ambulance, according to investigators.

“The EMSA truck was there in the area and, again that’s where they were found and we were able to transport the victim,” Quirk said.

Police say that the man died at the hospital. As of Thursday morning, police had not yet identified a suspect in the case.

Both are still active investigations. Anyone with information is urged to contact the homicide tipline at 405-239-1200.
