OSBI: Chickasha Human Remains Identified As Missing 47-Year-Old Man

Human remains found in Chickasha have been identified as 47-year-old Richard Houston, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

OSBI shared on social media Tuesday that on September 22, 2023, the Chickasha Police Department requested the OSBI to investigate the suspicious disappearance of Houston.

Houston was last seen on August 30, 2023, in Chickasha, according to OSBI. OSBI special agents, with other law enforcement agencies, began searching the surrounding area.

Then on July 11, 2024, the Chickasha Police Department requested the OSBI to investigate skeletal remains found near East Choctaw Avenue and Genevieve Street in Chickasha, OSBI stated.

OSBI stated that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified those remains as missing Chickahsha man, Houston.

The Medical Examiner is working to determine Houston’s cause and manner of death, OSBI says that this is still an ongoing investigation.
