Caitlyn Case set out on a road trip from Louisiana toward Colorado in 2022, a journey that led to tragedy with one wrong turn on the backroads of rural Texas.
Caitlyn vanished into the night. When she didn’t answer calls or texts from her family, she was reported missing. A week later, her SUV was found abandoned on private property in Southeast Oklahoma – cradled between trees and overhanging the Kiamichi Riverbank. Everything she owned was left behind – wallet, phones, even, it seemed, the clothes she’d been wearing.
Despite the eerie circumstances, her family says law enforcement did not search for Caitlyn or conduct a proper investigation. Calling it a cover-up, the family turned to News 9 for help finding Caitlyn. An investigation into her disappearance reveals improbable explanations. ‘Oklahoma's Own Originals: Missing Case’ is hosted by News 9's Karl Torp and Amanda Taylor, with investigative reporting by Lisa Monahan.
