Oklahoma City Police released video on Friday from an officer-involved shooting that happened on July 2 near Northwest 36th Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue.

Officers responded to a call of a man pointing a gun at another person that morning around 9 a.m., and later learned two women and three children were inside the house.

In the newly released video, officers can be heard negotiating with the suspect, 22-year-old Kavon Ragan, to surrender. But, moments later, shots were fired.

OCPD Sgt. Joshua Scott was hit and underwent surgery. The department awarded him for his bravery last week.

Other officers shot and killed Ragan. Those officers remain on a routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
